Blur Faces in Photos

Blur Faces in Photos for free in your browser. No installation, account or file upload is required.

Files are processed directly in your browser and are never uploaded to a server.

How to use this tool

Choose a photo and the AI marks the faces it finds with red boxes. Tap a box to leave that face visible, drag on the photo to add anything else — a missed face, a licence plate, a name badge — then pick mosaic or blur and a strength and apply.

Private browser processing

Your image is processed locally in your browser. It is not sent to or stored on the ImgSimple server.

Fast and free

Faces are found by OpenCV's open-source YuNet model (MIT, about 230 KB) running in your browser. Neither the photo nor the face positions are sent anywhere, and the tool only locates faces; it does not identify anyone. The result keeps the original resolution and format (HEIC is saved as JPG).

Hide bystanders in event, street or group photos, children's faces in school pictures, or personal details before sharing a photo publicly.

Check before saving

Automatic detection can miss very small faces, faces turned away or looking down, and faces partly covered by masks or hats. Always confirm in the preview that every face is boxed and add any that are missing. A light mosaic may still let people guess a face on a small screen; use Strong when identity must be hidden.

Frequently asked questions

Can I hide things other than faces?

Yes. Drag a rectangle anywhere on the photo to hide licence plates, name tags, addresses or personal data on a screen.

Can a mosaic be undone?

Not from the saved file: the original pixels in the hidden areas are gone. Keep your original photo separately.

Is this tool free?

Yes. It is free to use without signup or watermarks.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Image processing happens locally in your browser.
