How to use this tool
Select a JPG image, review the preview and convert it to WEBP. You can process several files in one batch and download the results individually or together.
Private browser processing
Your image is processed locally in your browser. It is not sent to or stored on the ImgSimple server.
Fast and free
JPG decoding and WEBP encoding happen on your device. The output is prepared for apps and websites that do not accept JPG.
JPG is widely supported and is practical for sharing, forms, email and older software.
Smaller images for the web
WEBP is usually 25–35% smaller than a JPG of similar quality, which speeds up pages and helps Core Web Vitals. Chrome, Edge and Firefox can save WEBP; Safari cannot create WEBP in the browser and shows a message instead. Heavily compressed JPGs may not shrink further.
